Box Score             Bemidji State used an early second-half goal to hold up for a 1-0 Northern Sun Conference women's soccer win Friday afternoon over Wayne State College at Chet Anderson Stadium in Bemidji, Minnesota.  The Wildcats drop to 2-4 on the season and 1-2 in the league while host Bemidji State improves to 3-1-2 and 2-0-1 in NSIC play.
            The two teams played to a scoreless draw in the opening half as the host Beavers enjoyed a 13-2 advantage in shots and 2-0 in shots on goal.
            Wayne State was able to get a couple of shots on goal in the second half, but Bemidji State produced the lone goal of the contest at the 58:34 mark by Madisen Fritel with an assist from Ella Wade for the 1-0 margin.
            Both Wildcat shots on goal came from junior forward Morgan Mancuso in the 54^th and 58^th minutes but the Wayne State could not come up with the tying goal in falling by a 1-0 score.
            Bemidji State finished the contest with a 22-8 edge in shots and 7-2 in shots on goal.  The Beavers held a 9-3 cushion in corner kicks while WSC was called for nine fouls to five on BSU.
            Mancusco had both shots on goal for WSC while Eryn Skoruppa also notched two shots.
            Junior goalkeeper Alexa Hofstetter was credited with six saves in the contest and allowed just one goal.
            The Wildcats conclude their weekend NSIC road trip Sunday afternoon with a 1 p.m. contest at Minnesota Duluth.
