Wayne State embarks on their longest road trip of the season this week when the Wildcats travel to Minot, North Dakota and open NSIC play against the Minot State Beavers Thursday evening in a 6 p.m. contest at Herb Parker Stadium.  The 'Cats are off to a 1-0 start thanks to last week's 21-20 win at Nebraska-Kearney while the Beavers suffered a home setback to Emporia State in a high-scoring 36-30 loss to the Hornets.  WSC holds an 8-1 advantage in the all-time series vs. Minot State and has won the last five meetings against the Beavers, including a 27-21 win in Wayne two years ago (10/5/24) in the most recent meeting.  Four of the nine meetings between the two clubs have been decided by six points or less.
