#2 Wayne State hit .337 for the match in taking care of Regis (Colo.) Friday evening 25-13, 25-21, 25-16 to finish pool play unbeaten at the Colorado Premier Challenge in Denver. The Wildcats improve to 6-0 on the season while the host Rangers drop to 1-6.
It was an aggressive start for the Wildcats as WSC had 16 kills with a .375 hitting percentage while holding Regis to just .032 forcing six attack errors as Wayne State rolled to an opening set win of 25-13.
Senior
Channatee Robles had six kills to lead WSC followed by
Chloe Hanel and
Delaney Miller with three apiece.
The second set was closer with both teams posting 15 kills, but the 'Cats had just two attack errors compared to six for Regis as WSC registered a 25-21 set victory.
Robles and
Mattie Kamery each recorded four kills in the set with Hanel adding three.
The final set saw the Wildcats complete the sweep with a 25-16 set win thanks to 14 kills and three service aces while also taking advantage of four Regis service errors.

WSC ended the match hitting .337 with 45 kills and just 10 errors on 104 attacks while Regis had a .171 percentage with 33 kills and 14 errors on 111 swings. The 'Cats held a 51-46 edge in digs and had one more block than the Rangers 4-3 while the 'Cats picked up five service aces.
Robles had a match-high 14 kills to lead WSC in the win. Hanel added eight kills with Miller, Kamery and Berg each accounting for seven.
Junior setter
Molly Romano had a double-double with 31 set assists and a team-high 15 digs while
Reese Johnson recorded 11. Borner had three service aces with Robles recording the other two.
The Wildcats now advance to the Gold Bracket semi-finals Saturday where WSC will face #5 Ferris State in a 12:30 p.m. contest at Regis University.
