Wayne State College

2012: Started all 50 games for Wayne State at shortstop...was the team leader in at bats (188) and stolen bases (9) while being tied for the team lead in sacrafice hits with eight...had a batting average of .266 going 50 for 180 with six doubles and 21 walks while crossing the plate 32 times and drawing 20 walks...had the second longest hitting streak on the team hitting safely in 10 straight games during the season...notched 11 multiple hit games (10 with two hits and one with three hits) and had four multi RBI games (four games with two RBI's)...was 3 for 4 at the plate with a double at Minnesota Duluth on 4-6-12...went 2 for 4 with one double, one stolen base, one RBI and three runs scored vs. Urbana (Ohio) on 3-5-12.

2011: Appeared in 43 games with 41 starts at shortstop, hitting .338 for the season...led team in assists with 103 and ranked third on the team in hits (47), average (.338) and runs scored (34)...had two homers, 11 doubles and 22 RBI's with a .489 slugging percentage...had 14 multi-hit games and was the only player to have fives hit in a game this season and tied for second in the NSIC with 10 sacrifice hits...was 5 for 5 with a homer, double and 4 RBI's in 16-6 win at Concordia-St. Paul on 4-23-11...also homered vs. Bemidji State on 3-20-11 going 2 for 2 vs. the Beavers...had game winning hit vs. #29 Winona State in 7-6 win on 4-26-11 and was 4 for 4 vs. Minnesota Duluth in 8-3 NSIC Tournament win on 5-12-11.

Before WSC: Played two seasons at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa where he hit .340 with six homers and 35 RBI's in 2010...as a freshman in 2009, Acosta posted a .298 average with four homers and 33 RBI's.
