Biography

2012: Started all 50 games (27 in left field and 23 at first base) for Wayne State during senior season...ranked first or second on the team in most offensive statistical categories as he led the team in average (.366), doubles (15), slugging percentage (.610), on base percentage (.478) and was tied for first in RBI's with 44...ranked second on the team in runs scored (38), hits (60), homeruns (7), total bases (100), walks (31), fielding percentage as he commited only one error (.996) and was tied for second in triples with two...had the longest hitting streak of the season for the Wildcats hitting safely in 13 straight games and had the most multi-hit games with 19 (16 games with two hits, two games with three hits and one game with four hits)...had second most multiple RBI games with 12 (seven games with two and five games with three)...went 4 for 5 with one double, one RBI and two runs scored on 3-5-12 vs. Urbana (Ohio)...was 2 for 4 with two homeruns, three RBI's and two runs scored vs. Concordia-St. Paul on 5-5-12...ranked fourth in the NSIC in on base percentage (.478) and fifth in slugging percentage at .610.

2011: Named to the NSIC Gold Glove Team after hitting .331 with six homers and 43 RBI's...led team in putouts with 271 and had just two errors for a .993 fielding percentage...had 12 multi-hit games and was one of just two players to have five RBI's in a single game during the season...named NSIC Player of the Week on 3-21-11 after hitting .727 (8 for 11) in four games vs. Bemidji State...was 2 for 4 with a homer and five RBI's at Minnesota Crookston on 5-3-11...homered and was 2 for 4 with four RBI's in 8-3 NSIC Tournament win over Minnesota Duluth on 5-12-11...led team with three triples and ranked second on the team in home runs (6), RBI's (43) and total bases (73)...was third on the team in stolen bases going 9 for 11 and ranked seventh in the NSIC in slugging percentage (.589) and tied for ninth in RBI's with 43.

Before WSC: Played two seasons at New Mexico Junior College and hit .292 with two homers and 23 RBI's...as a freshman in 2009 Parsons hit .252 with four homers and 25 RBI's to earn a spot in the Texas/New Mexico Junior College All Star Game.

High School: Graduate of Thompson Valley High School in Colorado...was a three year all-conference and all-area selection in baseball helping team to best record in school history in 2007 (17-5)...earned academic all-state honors in baseball and basketball.

Personal: Son of Scott and Kim Parsons...born on August 13, 1988...majoring in business management at WSC.
