2012: Martinson appeared in 23 games for the Wildcats during her senior season...with 22 plate appearances she had five hits, one double, one homerun and nine RBI's while scoring four runs and batted .227 on the year...best game of the year was against Southwest Minnesota State on March 21st when she pinch hit to hit a walk-off grand slam to end the game to give her four RBI's for the game.

2011: Saw action in 28 games with three starts at designated hitter for the Wildcats...hit .172 for the season going 5 for 29 at the plate with one double three RBI's and three runs scored...had a pinch hit RBI double at Upper Iowa on 4-28-11..also had pinch hit RBI single with run scored against Nebraska-Kearney on 3-22-11.

Before Wayne State: Kristen played two seasons at Iowa Western Community College...as a sophomore in 2010, posted a .306 average with 49 hits and 42 RBI's with 36 runs scored helping team to 38-18 record...hit .430 in 2009 with seven homers, 15 doubles, and 41 RBI's, helping IWCC to a 41-20 record...also excels in classroom earning Academic All-Region Second Team honors.

High School: Graduate of Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School in Iowa... helped her team to a third place finish in the Iowa Class 3A State Tournament... Was First Team All-State, All-District, All-Conference as a senior and was also named to the All-Tournament Team at state...was a four year starter in softball and also started three seasons each in volleyball and basketball...holds school record for career homeruns.  

Personal: Daughter of Daren and Jalynn Martinson...born on February 8, 1990... majoring in physical education at Wayne State College.
