2012: Made 11 appearances with one start as a pitcher during senior season...posted a 3-2 record with one save, one combined shutout and a 5.42 ERA...threw a season high 3 2/3 innings of relief vs. Gannon (PA) to earn win on 3/3/12...also earned wins in relief vs. UNC-Pembroke on 3/4/12 and Northern State on 3/17/12...threw one inning of perfect relief to earn the save vs. St. Joseph's College on 3/5/12...named winner of the Wildcat Inspiration Award on 4/30/12 at WSC Athletic Honors Banquet after overcoming battle with acute myeloid leukemia and returning to the pitcher's circle.

2011: Sat out season as redshirt

Before Wayne State: Played two seasons at Iowa Western Community College as a pitcher and utility player...in 2010 had a 15-8 record with a 1.77 ERA in 158 innings pitched to earn First Team All-Region XI honors...as a freshman in 2009, was 11-4 with a 2.12 ERA... also excelled in the classroom, earning Academic All-Region First Team honors in 2010 and Second Team honors in 2009 at Iowa Western. 

High School: Graduate of Columbus Lakeview High School...was a four year letter winner in softball, helping team win Class C State Championship in 2006...received Class C All-State honors as a utility player in 2006 and was First Team All Central 10 Conference selection...also selected to play in NCA (Nebraska Coaches Association) All-Star Game at Bowlin Stadium in Lincoln...was a three year letter winner in track and field and was a two-time state champion and four-time national qualifier in AAU gymnastics.

Personal: Daughter of J, Scott and Denise Schmidt...born August 20, 1990...majoring in criminal justice with a psychology minor.
