2013: Appeared in 11 games with one start at catcher...had a batting average of .182 with two hits in 11 at bats...drove in two runs and scored one run on the season...best game of the season was against Ohio Dominican on 3-3-13 when he had one double and one RBI.

2012: Appeared in 20 games and started 12 games as a backup catcher or pinch hitter for WSC...had three multi-hit games (three games with two hits) and had a hitting streak of three straight games...hit .250 on the season going 11 for 44 with one double, two RBI's and eight runs scored while drawing five walks...went 2 for 4 at the plate with one double, one walk and two runs scored vs. Urbana (Ohio) on 3-10-12...went 2 for 4 with one RBI and one run scored on 5-2-12 vs. Minnesota, Crookston...was 2 for 4 with two runs scored on 5-6-12 vs. Concordia-St. Paul...one of 15 Wildcat players to receive NSIC Spring All-Academic honors.

2011: Saw action in three games as a pinch hitter, going 0 for 3 at the plate...played against Illinois Springfield (3-11-11) at Upper Iowa (4-21-11) and at Minnesota Crookston (5-3-11).

2010: Sat out season as a redshirt.

High School: Ely was a four-year letter winner at Boone HIgh School...was a three-time First-Team Little Hawkeye All-Conference selection and has earned Second Team All-District honors for three seasons...also excels in the classroom, being named to the National Honor Society as a junior to go with Academic All-Conference honors.

Personal: Son of Jim and Lori Walters...born on October 2, 1990..majoring in business administration/accounting at WSC.
