Biography

2016: Voted Northern Sun Conference Player of the Year after matching last year's single season school record with a .467 average...other post season honors included First Team All-NSIC, NFCA All-Central Region First Team, NFCA All-American Second Team and CoSIDA Academic All-American First Team...led the team in batting average, hits (92), new single season school record 58 runs scored, on base percentage (.505) and stolen bases (18 for 20)...had 29 multi-hit games and reached base safely in 52 of 53 contests...recorded team-high hitting streak of 16 games and also had a 15 game hit streak...named NSIC Player of the Week (4/11/16) after going 17 for 24 (.708) with three doubles, two triples and 11 runs scored in six games vs. Southwest Minnesota State, Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State...went 5 for 5 at Minot State (3/26/16) and was 8 for 10 in the doubleheader...had pair of four hit games going 4 for 4 with two runs scored at Southwest Minnesota State (4/5/16) and 4 for 4 vs. Bemidji State (4/10/16)...was one of 25 finalists for the Schutt Sports/NFCA DII National Player of the Year...also named Capital One Academic All-District VII First Team for a second straight season, received the presitigious Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award and selected to the NSIC Spring All-Academic Team for a third straight year...named Most Valuable Player at the season-ending athletic honors banquet.

2015:  Set single season school records for batting average (.467), hits (93), runs scored (53) and total bases (118) while starting 54 games in center field...honors included First Team All-NSIC, First Team Daktronics and Second Team NFCA All-Central Region and Third Team Daktronics/Division II CCA All-American...had 30 multi-hit games and hit streaks of 11 and 18 consecutive games during the season...finished year with 12 doubles, five triples, one home run and 15 RBI in 199 plate appearances and led WSC in stolen bases, going 9 for 11...ranked second in the NSIC in batting average and hits, fourth in runs scored, fifth in on-base percentage (.502) and sixth in total bases...went 4 for 4 with a double vs. California (Pa.) on 3/9/15...was 4 for 4 with a triple and season-high four runs scored in 13-7 win at Sioux Falls (4/14/15) and was 4 for 5 in 9-3 win at Concordia-St. Paul (4/25/15)...had two triples, going 3 for 4 with two runs scored, in 5-2 win at Southwest Minnesota State (4/8/15)...also excels in the classroom, earning Capital One Academic All-District VII First Team honors and was repeat selection to the NSIC Spring All-Academic Team.

2014: One of four players to appear in all 53 games during the season, starting 52 in centerfield...hit .256 with three doubles, six RBI and 29 runs scored...tied for the team lead in stolen bases going 9 for 10...was one of just two players to have a five-hit game, going 5 for 5 with three runs scored vs. Central Missouri on 3/21/14...was 2 for 3 with a double in a 9-1 win over Minnesota Crookston on 4/5/14...selected to the NSIC Spring All-Academic Team.

2013: Played in 40 games, while starting 37 in center field during her freshman season...was third on the team with a .324 batting average, with 34 hits in 105 trips to the plate...had two doubles and one homerun, while recording 14 RBI's and 18 runs scored...had a team-high 10 stolen bases on 11 attempts...had a five game hitting streak during the season, while also recording six multi-hit games and one multi-RBI game...had a five RBI performance against Winona State, capped by a three-run homerun...went 3-4 on 4-3-13 against Upper Iowa with a double and two runs scored.

High School: Graduate of Millard North High School...three year starter and four year letter winner in softball...during senior season was First-Team All-Nebraska and First-Team Class A All-State after hitting .452 with 26 runs scored and 23 stolen bases...named Metro Conference Co-Player of the Year...in 2010 as a junior hit .458 and was Second-Team All-Nebraska and Second-Team Class A All-State.

Personal: Daughter of Scott Loos and Heidi Slaughter...born July 27, 1994...majoring in applied human and sport physiology at WSC.
