Biography
2011: Played in 21 matches with seven starts at rightside hitter...averaged 1.33 kills and 0.44 blocks per set...had career-high 17 kills in 44 attacks vs. Augustana on 9-27-11...had season-best hitting percentage of .385 with seven kills, two errors and 13 attacks vs. Mary on 9-24-11...named to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team for a third straight season.
2010: Appeared in 29 matches and 95 sets with 28 starts at middle hitter/rightside hitter, recording 170 kills and 49 blocks...averaged 1.79 kills and 0.52 blocks per set...had three matches with 10 or more kills, led by a career-high 13 kills at MSU Moorhead on 10-16-10...also had 12 kills vs. Concordia-St. Paul at Premier Tournament in Denver on 9-11-10...had season-high five blocks at Northern State on 9-24-10...repeat selection to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.
2009: Saw action in 31 matches with 26 starts at middle hitter/blocker for the Wildcats in sophomore season...averaged 1.10 kills, 0.58 digs, 0.53 blocks and 0.25 assists per set...had season-high 10 kills in 3-2 win over Minnesota Duluth on 11-6-09...had season-high six blocks vs. Augustana in 3-1 win on 11-10-09...had five service aces in 3-2 win over Southwest Minnesota State on 10-24-09...one of six Wildcat players named to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.
2008: Appeared in 15 matches with 11 starts as a true freshman at middle hitter...finished with 63 kills, 38 digs and 26 blocks, averaging 1.43 kills, 0.86 digs and 0.59 blocks per set...had season-high nine kills vs. Rockhurst on 9-5-08...had eight kills, 10 digs and three blocks in 3-1 win vs. Arkansas Tech on 9-6-08...also had eight kills with four blocks and two service aces in 3-2 win at Colorado Mines on 8-30-08.
High School: Graduate of Cambridge High School in Nebraska...played in three straight state volleyball tournaments and helped her team to the Class C-2 runner up finish as a senior...was a Class D-1 First Team All-State selection as a junior and was Second Team and Third Team Super State by the Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World Herald and was First Team All-State as a sophomore...broke many of the school records at Cambridge High School set by current WSC assistant and former Nebraska All-American Christina Houghtelling, including career kills (1,328) and single season kills (475)...set a Class C-2 State Tournament record with 30 kills in a match...also excelled in basketball, starting four years while earning All Republican Plains Athletic Conference and All-State honors...older sister Chelse Schultz was a four-year letter winner at WSC from 2001-2004.
