Biography
2017-18: Started 26 games as a guard, averaging 4.7 points and 1.4 assists per game...shot 40.6 percent from the field (54-133) and 82.4 percent from the free throw line (14-17)...scored a season high 11 points on 4-6 shooting vs. Concordia-St. Paul...recorded eight points while tossing out a season high five assists against Augustana (12/19/17)...named to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team...recipient of the NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award.
2016-17: Started 27 games during the season, ranking second on the team in scoring at 10.3 points per game...shot 37.5 percent (87-232) from the field, 35.4 percent (29-82) behind the 3-point line and 81.5 percent (75-92) at the charity stripe...had 13 games scoring 10 or more points and ranked ninth in the NSIC in free throw percentage...scored season-high 20 points on 6 of 9 shooting and 6 for 7 at the free throw line at West Texas A&M (11/25/16)...had 19 points vs. Southwest Minnesota State (12/31/16)...scored 17 points on 7 of 12 shooting at St. Cloud State (2/22/17) in first round of NSIC Tournament...named to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.
2015-16: Led Wayne State in scoring and was Most Valuable Player after averaging 16.5 points (11th in NSIC) and 1.6 rebounds per game...started all 29 games and scored double figures in 26 of the contests with eight games of 20 or more points...shot 37.9 percent from the field (158-417), made a team-high 47 3-pointers and tied for 14th in the NSIC in free throw percentage (.806) making 116 of 144...scored season-high 30 points on 10 of 21 shooting vs. Southwest Minnesota State (1/2/16)...had 29 points vs. Iowa Wesleyan (11/20/15) and at William Jewell (11/28/15)...led team in assists with 86 that included season-high six at Missouri Western State (11/13/15).
Before Wayne State:Â Played one season at North Platte Community College, averaging 9.8 points and 2.1 assists per game shooting 40.5 percent from 3-point range and 73.8 percent at the free throw line...named Region IX All-Conference Second Team while helping Knights to a 24-9 record.
High School:Â Graduate of Elkhorn South High School...was a four year starter in high school - two years at Elkhorn South and two at Omaha Skutt...named honorary captain of the Class B All-State Team during senior season after averaging 18.9 points and 4.3 assists per game, helping team to 26-1 record and third place finish at Class B State Tournament...school records set by Thomas include points in a game (39), assists in a game (10) and steals in a game (8)...scored 1,517 points in high school career.
