Biography
2009: Competed in every meet for the Wildcats this year... ran a season best 5k (22:12) at the SDSU Open on 10/03/09... Had her season best finish of 32nd at the Pre-Regional meet in Wayne on 10/09/09 with a season best time of 26:07 (6k).
2008: Did not compete in any events due to injury.
2007: Participated in five of six meets during freshman season with the Wildcats...ran top time of 20:18 on 5,000-meter course at the Briar Cliff Invite on 10-6-07 to finish 17th overall while helping WSC to a second place team finish...finished 18th at the NSIC Championships on 10-20-07 in Winona, Minnesota with time of 24:15...top time on 6,000-meter course was 24:13 at the NCAA Div. II North Central Regional Championships in Vermillion, South Dakota on 11-3-07.
High School: Graduate of Lincoln Pius X High School...was a three-year state cross country qualifier, running on Class B State Championship teams in 2004 and 2005 and runner up team in 2006...finished seventh at state cross country as a sophomore (16:33); 18th as a junior (16:26) and 26th as a senior (16:28)...also lettered four years in track and field and two years in basketball...older sister Nicole ran track and cross country at Wayne State from 2002-2007.
Personal: Daughter of Paul and Mary McCoy...Born on September 24, 1988...majoring in elementary and special education.
