Biography

2011: Played in 34 games with 28 starts (22 in left field, six as designated hitter), hitting .333 with two homers and 20 RBI's...was the starting left fielder until suffering a foot injury April 2nd vs. Mary...had four RBI's in two games during the season, at Regis on 2-18-11 and at Metro State on 2-20-11...was 3 for 4 with a homer at Metro State (2-20-11) and was 3 for 3 vs. Alderson Broaddus (3-6-11) and vs. Nebraska-Kearney (3-22-11)...scored career high three runs vs. Nebraksa-Kearney on 3-22-11...named to the 2011 NSIC Spring All-Academic Team.

2010:  Started all 57 games in left field and hit .236 with six homers and 31 RBIs...had season high 11 game hit streak from April 25th through May 7th...was 4 for 4 with a homer, double and a career high six RBIs vs. Southwest Minnesota State on 4-28-10...during hit streak homered in four of the games and had 12 RBIs...only player on Wayne State roster to have four hit game (SMSU, 4-28-10)...was named NSIC Player of the Week on May 3rd after going 9 for 20 with three homers and 10 RBIs the previous week.

2009: Hit .283 with four homers and 23 RBI's while starting 60 of 61 games played in left field for the Wildcats during sophomore season...tied for fourth on the team in hits with 49 and tied Stacy Shonka's 2007 school record with 26 sacrifice hits, ranking eighth in NCAA Division II with 0.43 sacrifice hits per game...hit team-best .370 (20 for 54) with runners in scoring position and led WSC in multiple-RBI games with eight while ranking fourth in multiple hit games with 13...was 3 for 6 with a homer, five RBI's and two runs scored in doubleheader sweep over Nebraska-Kearney on 3-18-09...hit big two-run homer vs. Minnesota State at NCAA Central Regional in 4-2 win on 5-9-09...also homered vs. Minnesota Duluth at NSIC Tournament on 5-2-09 and vs. West Liberty State (W. Va. ) on 3-11-09.

2008: Started 47 of 52 games played for the Wildcats during freshman season mainly as the starting left fielder...hit .268 for the season with three home runs and 16 RBI's...hit three homers in span of one week, homering against Missouri Western (3-25-08), Augustana (3-26-08) and Minnesota Duluth (3-29-08)...tied for second-longest hitting streak on the Wildcat squad this season with eight-game streak March 22 through March 29...had season-high three RBI's with three-run homer vs. Minnesota Duluth on March 29 at UNO Tournament...ranked second on the team with 17 walks.

High School: Graduated from Omaha Skutt HS where she was a three-year starter...Named first team All-Conference in 2006 as well as Academic All-Conference in 2004, 2005, and 2006...Also participated in basketball and track for the Skyhawks...Earned Academic All-Conference honors during the 2005-2006 season...Also named the outstanding track player of the year in 2006.

Personal: Daughter of Keith and Gretchen Engelkamp... born on June 8, 1989... Enjoys playing softball and basketball...Majoring in exercise science.
