Biography

2023:  Named All-NSIC Second Team for third straight year...started and played in all 52 games (33-shortstop/19-catcher), batting .382 with four home runs and 34 RBIs...led NSIC in triples (8) and tied for third in hits (68), fourth in at bats (178) and 10th in batting average...had 23 multi-hit games and team-high eight games with multiple-RBIs...was 3 for 3 with two triples and season-high four RBI vs. Central Missouri (2/24/23)...went 3 for 4 with a double, triple and two RBI vs. Lewis (Ill.) on 3/9/23...had 5 for 7 doubleheader vs. Minnesota State (4/1/23) with triple, homer and four runs scored...went 5 for 7 with two doubles and three RBI in Minnesota Crookston doubleheader (4/22/23)...was 3 for 4 with a double and two runs scored in 6-1 win over MSU Moorhead (4/17/23)...had 2 for 3 game with home run and three RBI in 8-0 win over Kentucky Wesleyan (3/10/23)...closed WSC career ranked third in at bats (670), fourth in hits (236) and fifth in runs scored (128), doubles (44) and triples (12)...named NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.

2022:  Earned All-NSIC Second Team honors for a second straight season...appeared and started in 51 games - 33 at catcher, 17 at shortstop and 1 as the designated hitter...finished the season with a team best .377 average, tied for the team lead with 42 RBI (tied for ninth in WSC single season RBI history), team best 15 doubles (tied for second in WSC single season doubles history), 58 hits (second on team), 37 runs (third on team), team high two triples, four home runs (second on team), 13 walks and tied for a team high 23 stolen bases on 24 attempts (tied for eighth in WSC single season stolen bases history)...recorded a 19 game hit streak during the season (4/6-4/27) and a 26 game reached base streak (4/3-5/5)...had 17 multi-hit games as well getting at least one hit in 35 of the 51 games...Vidlak reached base safely in 41 of 51 games...went 4 for 4 with two RBI, two runs and three stolen bases vs. Minot State (4/9/22)...was 3 for 4 with two RBI, double, home run and a stolen base vs. Southwest Minnesota State (4/12/22)...was 15 for 24 with 14 RBI, seven runs, five extra base hits and five stolen bases during a six game stretch (4/6-4/12)...Vidlak finished the season placing fifth all-time in career stolen bases (47) and tied for ninth in career assists (322) in WSC history...earned NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honors for a third straight season and voted Most Valuable Player.

2021:  Earned All-NSIC Second Team honors while leading WSC in most offensive categories, batting .395 with eight doubles, two homers and 20 RBI...only player on team to play in all 38 games with 37 starts...led team in at bats (129), hits (51), runs scored (25) and triples (2) while recording 14 multi-hit games...was 3 for 5 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in season opener vs. Emporia State (2/26/21)...had grand slam home run, going 2 for 3 with four RBI in 6-4 win over Northern State (4/24/21)...was 6 for 8 in doubleheader sweep vs. MSU Moorhead (4/25/21)...was 4 for 4 with two runs scored vs. Pittsburg State (2/28/21) and 4 for 4 with triple and three RBI at University of Mary (4/17/21)...repeat selection to the NSIC Spring All-Academic Team.

2020:  Started all 23 games at shortstop, batting .321 with five doubles and nine RBI...ranked second on the team with nine multi-hit games and led WSC (tied for third in the NSIC) in stolen bases going 8 for 9...was 3 for 4 with an RBI and run scored vs. Northeastern State (3/1/20)...also went 3 for 4 with a run scored vs. Ferris State (3/9/20) and was 3 for 4 vs. Harding (Ark.) on 2/16/20...went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBI vs. Urbana (3/11/20)...had four multi-hit games to open season at Ark-Monticello Classic, going 2 for 3 with a double vs. Henderson State, 2 for 4 vs. Southwest Baptist, 2 for 4 with a double vs. Washburn and 3 for 4 vs. Harding...received NSIC Spring All-Academic honors.

2019: Played in 42 games with 38 starts (20-second base, 18-shortstop), batting .256 with two homers and 13 RBI...led team in sacrifice hits with eight and assists (112) and tied for team lead with stolen bases (10-11)...went 3-5 with three RBI in 5-4 win at Bemidji State (4/26/19)...homered and was 2-3 with three runs scored in 8-5 win at Southwest Baptist (2/14/19)...tied for second on the team with the longest hitting streak at seven straight games...went 2-4 with a double and two runs scored vs. St. Cloud State (4/1/19)...earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete honors.

High School: Graduate of Millard North High School...made Second Team All-State appearance as a junior...member of First Team All-State and Second Team All-Nebraska as a senior...district champion in 2015-16-17...hit .483 as a senior with 39 runs, 44 RBIs, six home runs while only striking out twice...holds school records for hits in a season (56), RBIs (44) and OPS (1.280).

Personal: Daughter of Christina Burton and Eric Vidlak...born August 6, 2000...majoring in math education at WSC.
