2021 Outdoor: Had season-best time of 9:41.95 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at Drake Relays (4/22/21) to place 13th overall...placed fifth in 3,000-meter steeplechase at Sioux City Relays (4/16/21) with time of 9:50.94...took fourth at Central Nebraska UNK Challenge in 3,000-meter steeplechase at 10:07.24 and was fourth at season-opening Wildcat Classic (3/27/21) with time of 10:01.00.
2021 Indoor: Competed at five events in distance events...took fifth in the 5,000-meter run (16:31.77) at the NDSU/Bison Open (2/5/21)...ran season-best time of 4:56.78 in the one-mile run to place seventh at WSC Wildcat Invite (1/16/21)...finished eighth in the 3,000-meter run (9:34.17) at the SDSU Last Chance Invite (2/20/21)...was seventh in the 5,000-meter run (16:49.02) at the Herschel Neil/Northwest Missouri State Invite (1/30/21).
High School: Graduate of Papillion LaVista High School...
was a starter in both track and cross country...as a sophomore, Kotz was able to help his cross country team place eighth overall in Class A State Cross Country and was a two year State Cross Country qualifier.
Personal: Son of Roy and Christina Kotz...born September 13, 2001...majoring in computer science at Wayne State.
