Biography

2010: Started and played in all 49 games for WSC, hitting .416 with 11 homers and 41 RBI's to earn First Team All-NSIC honors for the second straight season...was also a repeat First Team All-Central Region selection by Daktronics (SID's) and ABCA/Rawlings (Coaches)...led WSC with 23 multi-hit games and had a 14-game hit streak (April 6-26), the second longest streak on the team during season...was 5 for 6 with two homers, three RBI's and four runs scored at Concordia-St. Paul on 4-1-10...also homered twice, going 4 for 6 with five RBI's and four runs scored vs. Briar Cliff on 4-13-10...was named the NSIC Player of the Week on April 19 after going 14 for 23 at the plate (.609) with four homers, 12 RBI's and 17 runs scored against Briar Cliff, Augustana and Northern State...led NSIC in walks (40) and ranked second in on-base percentage (.538)...finished WSC career ranked first in career walks (138) and total bases (431), second in career home runs (34), second in runs scored (229) and third in career hits (261)...one of seven Wildcats named to the 2010 NSIC Spring All-Academic Team.

2009: Named 2009 Northern Sun Conference Player of the Year after setting several new single season school records and leading the Wildcats in most offensive categories...also named First Team Daktronics and ABCA/Rawlings All-Central Region...hit .396 with 14 homers and 67 RBI's and in NSIC play posted a .420 average with seven homers and 34 RBI's...set new single season school record with 83 runs scored and ranked third in NCAA Division II in runs scored and sixth in walks with 51...was named the NSIC Player of the Week three times during the season...had team-high 25 multiple-hit games and tied for third with 15 multiple-RBI games...led team with .741 slugging percentage and was 19 of 21 in stolen bases while leading team with 20 doubles...had 13-game hitting streak, the second longest on the team during the season, to start the year...was 3 for 4 with two homers and eight RBI's in 23-15 win at Minnesota, Crookston on 5-3-09...was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII Second Team with a 3.42 grade point average in physical education and was selected to NSIC Spring All-Academic Team.

2008: Became starting left fielder for WSC, hitting .371 with six homers and 46 RBI's for the Wildcats during sophomore season...appeared in 48 games with 46 starts, ranking third on the team in at bats (151), hits (56), runs scored (40) and total bases (87) and tied for second in home runs (6) and RBI's (46)...named to the 2008 NSIC All-Tournament Team...one of only three players to have four hits in a game, going 4 for 5 with three RBI's and two runs scored vs. Emporia State on 5-16-08 at the NCAA Central Regional Tournament...ranked third on the team with 17 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI games...had six RBI's vs. Minnesota, Crookston in 18-10 win on 4-5-08 with grand slam...went 3 for 3 with a double, triple, homer and four RBI's in 11-0 win over Minnesota State on 3-21-08...ended the season with a six-game hit streak.

2007: Selected NSIC Freshman of the Year after hitting team-high .417 for the Wildcats as true freshman...appeared in 45 games with 35 starts, had three home runs and 23 RBI with three triples and six doubles...had 11-game hitting streak early in the season to push average above .400 and earned NSIC Player of the Week honors on 4-3-07 after going 8 for 16 with three triples, one double and six RBI in six-game stretch vs. Minnesota, Crookston and Northwest Missouri State...went 4 for 4 with double, RBI and run scored in 6-4 win over Nebraska-Kearney at Haymarket Park on 3-14-07.

High School: Attended Bishop Heelan HS in Sioux City, Iowa, where he lettered in baseball and basketball. . . Earned All-State, All-District and All-Conference honors. . . Hit .410 his senior season, .379 his junior season and .427 his sophomore season. . . Helped his team finish with a record of 37-4 and 42-4 his junior and senior seasons. . . Won the conference championship his junior and senior seasons. . . Appeared in state tournament three times including winning the state championship in 2005.
