Biography

2010-2011: Played in 26 games with 18 starts at center during senior season averaging career highs of 7.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game...had one double-double and nine games with 10 or more points...scored career high 16 points vs. Minnesota, Crookston on 2-25-11...had 10 points and career high 12 rebounds at Concordia St. Paul on 1-29-11...had 14 points and 8 rebounds vs. York College on 11-23-10...shot 51.7 percent from the field (74-143) and 52.2 percent from the free throw line (36-69).

2009-10: Appeared in 28 of 29 games with one start at center for the Wildcats, averaging 1.2 points and 1.5 rebounds per game while playing 9.0 minutes per contest...scored career-high seven points with three rebounds at Winona State on 1-15-10 and had six points and three rebounds at Mary on 2-20-10...played season-high 19 minutes and grabbed six rebounds with two blocks vs. Augustana on 2-6-10.

2008-09: Sat out season as a redshirt.

Before Wayne State: Spent two years with the University of Nebraska football team as a tight end...sat out 2006 season as a redshirt and worked with the scout team in his second season (2007).

High School: Graduate of Humphrey St. Francis High School...Tasa was a three-year letterwinner in football and basketball for the Flyers...named Class D-1 All-State tight end as a senior and played in the Sertoma All-Star football game where he was named offensive MVP...selected honorable mention all-state in football as a junior...in basketball, helped Humphrey St. Francis to a 23-3 record in senior season and the 2006 Class D-1 State title...was named captain of the Columbus Telegram and Norfolk Daily News All-Area Basketball Teams while earning Class D-1 All-State honors...received Second Team All-State honors in basketball as a junior and honorable mention all-state honors as a sophomore.

Personal: Son of Barry and Radell Tasa...born on June 8, 1987...majoring in construction management at Wayne State College.
