WAYNE STATE PLACES 49 STUDENT-ATHLETES ON NSIC SPRING ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
2020 NSIC Spring All-Academic Release

Wayne, Neb.--- Wayne State College had 49 student-athletes named to the 2020 Northern Sun Conference Spring All-Academic Team announced Tuesday morning by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota. For the second year, the NSIC will highlight the All-Academic Team members with a 3.60 grade point average or higher with the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence Award and 30 of the 49 All-Academic selections from Wayne State College had a 3.60 GPA or higher.
To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher. Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
The WSC men’s and women’s outdoor track and field team each had 15 selections followed by baseball with 12 honorees and softball received seven selections.

Wayne, Neb. --- Wayne State College placed 40 student-athletes on the 2020 Northern Sun Conference Winter All-Academic Teams announced Thursday morning by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota. For the second year, the NSIC highlights the All-Academic Team members with a 3.60 grade point average or higher with the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence Award and 23 of the 40 All-Academic selections from Wayne State College had a 3.60 GPA or higher.
To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher. Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, redshirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
The WSC men’s indoor track and field team had 15 selections followed by women’s indoor track and field with 13. Women’s basketball accounted for nine honorees with men’s basketball having three selections.

Wayne, Neb.--- Wayne State College placed 53 student-athletes named to the 2019 Northern Sun Conference Fall All-Academic Teams announced Tuesday afternoon by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota. For the second year, the NSIC will highlight the All-Academic Team members with a 3.60 grade point average or higher with the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence Award and 39 of the 53 All-Academic selections for WSC had a 3.60 GPA or higher.
To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher. Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
The WSC football team had the most selections for the Wildcats with 15 followed by women’s soccer at 13 and volleyball with 11. Wildcat men’s cross country and women’s cross country each had seven honorees.

Wayne, Neb.--- Wayne State College had 30 student-athletes named to the 2018 Northern Sun Conference Winter All-Academic Team announced Thursday morning by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota.
To be eligible for the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or better. The student-athlete must also have reached sophomore academic and athletic standing at the institution represented with one full year completed at that particular institution. The WSC men’s indoor track and field team had the most selections for the Wildcats with 12 followed by men’s basketball with seven, women’s indoor track and field had six selections and women’s basketball had five.

Wayne, Neb.--- Wayne State College had 36 student-athletes named to the 2017 Northern Sun Conference Fall All-Academic Team announced Wednesday morning by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota.
To be eligible for the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or better. The student-athlete must also have reached sophomore academic and athletic standing at the institution represented with one full year completed at that particular institution. The WSC women’s soccer team had the most selections for the Wildcats with 12 followed by football (11) and volleyball with nine. Men’s and women’s cross country each had two selections.

To be eligible for the NSIC Spring All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or better. Wayne, Neb.--- Wayne State College had 43 student-athletes named to the 2014 Northern Sun Conference Fall All-Academic Team announced Tuesday afternoon by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota.
To be eligible for the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or better. The student-athlete must also have reached sophomore academic and athletic standing at the institution represented with one full year completed at that particular institution. The WSC football team had the most selections for the Wildcats with 16 followed by women’s soccer with 11, volleyball had eight with men’s and women’s cross country receiving four selections each.

Wayne, Neb.--- Wayne State College had 27 student-athletes named to the 2014 Northern Sun Conference Spring All-Academic Team announced today (Wednesday) by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota.
To be eligible for the NSIC Spring All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or better. The student-athlete must also have reached sophomore academic and athletic standing at the institution represented with one full year completed at that particular institution. The WSC baseball team had 10 athletes receive the honor followed by softball with seven, women’s track six and men’s track four.

Wayne, Neb.--- Wayne State College had 28 student-athletes named to the 2011 Northern Sun Conference Spring All-Academic Team announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota.
To be eligible for the NSIC Spring All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or better. The student-athlete must also have reached sophomore academic and athletic standing at the institution represented with one full year completed at that particular institution.
The WSC baseball had 10 athletes named All-Academic followed by men’s outdoor track and field with seven, softball had six honorees, women’s golf and women’s outdoor track and field had two selections with men’s golf receiving one.

WAYNE STATE PLACES 19 ON NSIC WINTER ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

Wayne, Neb.--- Wayne State College placed 19 student-athletes on the 2008 Northern Sun Conference Winter All-Academic Team announced today by the league office in St. Paul, Minnesota.
To be eligible for the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or better. The student-athlete must also have reached sophomore academic and athletic standing at the institution represented with one full year completed at that particular institution.
The WSC men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams had the most selections with seven each followed by men’s basketball with three and women’s basketball two honorees.
MSU Moorhead led all NSIC schools with 28 selections followed by Concordia-St. Paul and Northern State with 23 apiece. Wayne State was tied for fourth most with the University of Mary with 19 honorees. Winona State was fifth with 16 honorees, Bemidji State had 11, Southwest Minnesota State and Upper Iowa had 10 each with Minnesota, Crookston at six academic selections.

Wayne, Neb.--- Wayne State College placed 23 student-athletes on the 2007 Northern Sun Conference Fall All-Academic Team announced today by the league office in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The WSC volleyball team had the most selections for the Wildcats with eight followed by football and women’s cross country with five each. Women’s soccer had three honorees with men’s golf and men’s cross country receiving one selection apiece.
Winona State led all NSIC schools with 42 selections followed by the University of Mary with 33, Concordia-St. Paul 29, MSU Moorhead fourth with 28 and Southwest Minnesota State next at 27. Upper Iowa had 24 honorees with Wayne State right behind at 23, followed by Bemidji State and Northern State with 20 each and Minnesota, Crookston eight.

Wayne State places 27 student-athletes on NSIC Spring All-Academic Team
Wayne State College placed 27 student-athletes on the 2007 Northern Sun Conference Spring All-Academic Team announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon.
To be eligible for the NSIC Spring All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or better. The student-athlete must also have reached sophomore academic and athletic standing at the institution represented with one full year completed at that particular institution.
The Wayne State baseball team landed 10 players on the All-Academic squad, followed by softball and men’s outdoor track and field with six each and women’s track and field with five selections.
The University of Mary led all NSIC schools with 31 honorees, followed by Wayne State and Bemidji State with 27 each, Winona State (25), MSU Moorhead (23), Concordia-St. Paul (19), Southwest Minnesota State (17), Northern State (16), Upper Iowa (11) and Minnesota, Crookston (5).
