2017: Played in 20 games with 16 starts (10-second base, six-shortstop)...posted .218 average going 12-55 at the plate with one double and seven RBI's...was 2-4 with two RBI's and two runs scored at Missouri S&T followed by another 2-4 game with one RBI vs. the Miners on 3/4/17...had a two run double vs. Newman (2/18/17)...went 2-3 with an RBI in 4-1 win vs. St. Cloud State (3/25/17).

Before Wayne State:  Played one season at New Mexico Highlands and two years at Southwestern College in California.

High School:  Graduate of Eastlake High School in California.

Personal:  Son of Gilbert and Paige Castro...born April 22, 1995...majoring in exercise science.
