Biography

2013: Appeared in 40 games with 38 starts in left and center field (two at designated hitter) and recorded a .259 average with no homers and 17 RBI's...had seven multi-hit games, highlighted by a 3-4 effort with one double and two RBI's in a 8-0 win, over Minnesota, Crookston on 3-30-13...had a season-high three RBI's, going 2-3 at the plate in an 8-2 win over Morningside 3-17-13...was 29-112 at the plate with one double, three triples and 17 runs scored.

2012: Started all 50 games for the Wildcats with 28 starts in center field and 22 starts in left field...had a five game hitting streak and had 11 multi-hit games (eight games with two hits and three games with three hits)...recorded four multiple RBI games (three games with two RBI's and one game with four RBI's)...hit .256 on the season notching hits in 40 of 156 at bats...had nine doubles, two triples and 35 runs scored...was the team leader in fielding percentage with a perfect season of zero errors on 105 put outs and was tied for the team lead in walks with 32...went 3 for 4 at the dish with two doubles, four RBI's and three runs scored on 3-5-12 vs. Urbana (Ohio)...named to the NSIC Spring All-Academic Team.

2011: Started 43 games in left field and hit .286 for the season with no homers and three RBI's...ranked third on the team in RBI's (33) and was second in sacrifice hits with nine, which ranked fourth in the NSIC...hit .362 with runners in scoring position and tied for second with eight multi-RBI games...was 2 for 4 with a triple, three RBI's and a season high four runs scored in 25-12 win over Southwest Minnesota State on 5-8-11...opened the season with four multi-hit games in first five games...tied for the second longest hitting streak during the season, hitting in seven straight games from March 9-April 2.

2010: Had standout freshman season with Wildcats, hitting .321 with one homer and 39 RBI's...ranked third on the team in hits with 52, RBI's (39), walks (26) and doubles (12)...tied for second on the team with 12 multiple RBI games and tied for fourth with 12 multi-hit games...had five games with three hits...had back-to-back three hit games in doubleheader vs. Northern State on 4-18-10, going 6 for 8 with seven RBI's and four runs scored...was 3 for 3 with a homer, three runs scored and four RBI's in 15-3 win over Northern State on 4-18-10...also had four RBI's vs. Minnesota, Crookston on 5-1-10, going 2 for 4.

High School:  Beranek was a four-year starter and letter winner in baseball and helped Fremont to a fourth place finish in 2008 Class A State American Legion Senior Baseball Tournament...In 2008, Beranek hit .488 with 10 homers, 72 RBI's and had 72 runs scored...Beranek was a Second Team Class A  All-State selection for Fremont High School in 2008...Beranek has also lettered and started one season in football and basketball at Fremont High School.

Personal: Son of Roger and Amy Beranek...born on August 14, 1990...majoring in criminal justice with a coaching minor at WSC.
