2013: Appeared in 12 games with 11 starts as a pitcher for Wayne State during senior season...was named All-NSIC Second Team and also received NSIC Pitcher of the Week honors on 2-25-13 after picking up a complete game four-hitter with six strikeouts in a 3-2 win over Bemidji State...started the season 8-0 for WSC before suffering his first loss on 4-27-13 against Minnesota State...had a 3.06 ERA with a 9-2 record in 67.2 innings pitched...threw three complete games and two shutouts...struck out 64 batters (second most on the team) while only allowing 25 runs (23 earned)...tied for second in the NSIC in wins this season, was seventh in innings pitched and strikeouts, 11th in fewest runs allowed and 12th in earned run average...best performance of the season was a complete game shutout against Minnesota Crookston on 3-29-13 when he logged eight strikeouts and only allowed three hits in 9-0 victory.

2012: Appeared in 13 games and started 11 on the pitching mound for WSC during junior season...was named NSIC Pitcher of the Week on two occassions during the season...first time was on 3-6-12 after he improved to 2-0 on the season with a complete game three strikeout performance vs. Flagler (Fla.) for the 7-1 win...the second time was 5-7-12 after throwing a complete game two-hit shutout vs. Concordia St. Paul where he retired eight batters via strikeout and allowed only two hits and three walks for a 0.00 ERA...was the team leader in wins (7), innings pitched (70.1) and was tied for first in complete games with three...was second on the team in strikeouts (50) and was tied for second in shutouts with one...had a personal record of 7-3 on the season with 70.1 innings pitched with an ERA of 3.84...on the mound, he notched 50 strikeouts and 17 walks while surrendering 73 hits and 34 runs (30 earned)...struckout seven batters in 8.0 innings of work while allowing five hits and one run (one earned)...was named Capital One Academic All-District 7 and received NSIC Spring All-Academic honors for a second straight year.

2011: Became Wayne State's #1 starter during the season going 6-4 with a team best 3.39 ERA in 10 starts...had five complete games with two shutouts, highlighted by no hitter at Mary on 4-9-11...also threw a four hit shutout with four strikeouts in a 4-0 win over then #29 Winona State on 4-27-11...had nine inning complete game 4-3 win with six strikeouts at Concordia-St. Paul on 4-22-11...allowed just one home run in 63 2/3 innings pitched during the season, giving up 58 hits and 28 runs (24 earned) with 35 strikeouts and 19 walks...oppenents hit just .246 against Johansen...one of 10 Wildcat players selected to the NSIC Spring All Academic Team.

2010: Versatile player for the Wildcats, starting two games at pitcher and four games as designated hitter...made nine total appearances on the mound, posting a 2-1 record with a 7.79 ERA...pitched 17.1 innings, allowing 18 hits and 16 runs (15 earned) with 20 strikeouts and 12 walks...had season-high seven strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings in start vs. Northern State on 4-18-10, a 15-3 win...worked three solid innings of relief at #9 Emporia State on 3-2-10 to earn first win...at the plate, hit .250 going 3 for 12 with four runs scored...was 2 for 4 as a designated hitter at Southern Indiana on 3-7-10...was 1 for 3 with a double, two walks and three runs scored at Bemidji State on 3-21-10.

2009: Redshirted

High School: Graduate of Elkhorn High School...participated in baseball and hockey...hit over .400 to become a member of the Elkhorn Baseball 400 Club...helped his teams to a Class A State Championship in 2007 and a Class B Championship in 2008.
