2011: Saw action in 19 games with 17 starts at catcher hitting .250 for the season...was 12 for 48 at the plate with one homer and six RBI's...was 2 for 2 with a homer, double and three RBI's vs. Bemidji State on 3-19-11...was 2 for 3 with a double vs. Bemidji State on 3-20-11 and was 2 for 4 with an RBI vs. Northern State on 4-2-11.

2010: Made 10 starts (nine at catcher and one as designated hitter) while appearing in 12 games, hitting .296 going 8 for 27 at the plate with four RBI's...was 2 for 3 with a double, two walks, three RBI's and two runs scored in 19-2 win at Bemidji State on 3-22-10...was 2 for 3 vs. Minnesota, Crookston on 5-2-10.

2009: Hit .368 (7 for 19) in 16 games with two starts as a backup catcher...had two homers, two doubles, two RBI's and seven runs scored...homered in back-to-back games at Northern State on 4-19-09 and 4-20-09...was 3 for 5 in two games at Northern State with two homers, a double and three runs scored...was 2 for 2 with a double and run scored in 11-3 win over West Liberty State (W. Va.) on 3-12-09.

2008: Redshirted.

High School: Attended Clark HS in Clark, S.D. where he lettered in baseball, basketball and football. . . selected to the All-Region baseball team. . . also a standout basketball player where he earned All-State honors and holds the school record for points and steals in a single game.

Personal: Son of Pat Welk and Julie Bjerke. . . Hobbies include sports, hunting, fishing and watching movies. . . majoring in marketing at WSC.
