2019:  Sat out season as a redshirt.

High School:  Graduate of Spirit Lake High School in Iowa...three year starter in football and two years in soccer...made 45/49 PAT kicks and 5 of 6 field goals with 18 touchbacks during senior season to earn Iowa Class 2A Second Team All-State honors at kicker...named to the Iowa Shrine Bowl as a senior...was a First Team All-District selection three seasons...during junior year in 2017, was a Class 3A First Team All-State selection and voted #2 kicker in state of Iowa by Iowa Preps.

Personal:  Son of Patricia Wingert and Tom Steffens...born April 24, 2001...majoring in graphic design.
