2011: Red-shirted during freshman season with the Wildcats.

High School:  Graduate of Cedar Rapids High School...Choat finished his career with First Team All-State Six Man honors as an all purpose athlete from the Lincoln Journal Star...named to Grand Island Independent All-Heartland Second Team...led Cedar Rapids to the 2009 and 2010 state playoffs...also lettered four years in basketball and two years in track.

Personal:  Son of Dean and Sally Jo Choat...born August 9, 1992...major is criminal justice at Wayne State.
