2011: Appeard in all 11 games for the Wildcats during the season...led the team in rushing attempts with 173, rushing yards with 1,026 and rushing touchdowns with 10...had season-high 239 yards, 41 carries and three touchdowns vs. Upper Iowa on 10/29/11...ranked eighth in the NSIC in rushing with 91.8 yards per game...had seven receptions for 56 yards and one score...returned three kicks for 50 yards giving him 1,132 all-purpose yards on the season...averaged 5.9 yards per carry, 8.0 yards per catch, 16.7 yards per kickoff return, 102.9 yards per game and 93.3 total offensive yards per game...received All-NSIC Honorable Mentions.

Before Wayne State:  Hawthorne transfers to Wayne State after playing one season at Nebraska-Omaha in 2009...in his single season at UNO Hawthorne played in eight games while making five starts...accounted for 507 yards rushing on 80 carries with four touchdowns...also ran for a season-high 180 yards on 23 carries with two TD's on the ground and had a 27-yard TD reception in a game against Truman State on 9/12/2009...prior to arriving at UNO Hawthorne played two seasons at Solano Community College in California where he rushed for 1,403 yards and 16 touchdowns in the 2008 season. 

High School: Graduate of Vallejo High School in California...lettered two years in football, earning All-League and All-Conference honors as a junior and senior...rushed for 1,443 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior.
