Biography

2022:  Started 10 games at defensive tackle, recording 18 tackles (nine solo) with 3.5 tackles for loss (27 yds) and 2.5 sacks for 22 yards...credited with three tackles and 1.5 sacks for 13 yards at University of Mary (9/3)...had two tackles with 15 tackles for loss and one sack for nine yards vs. Upper Iowa (10/29)...also recorded three tackles vs. Northern State (9/10), at Minot State (9/17) and vs. Concordia-St. Paul (9/24)...repeat selection to NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2021: Appeared in all 11 games at defensive line...finished with nine total tackles (8 solo), 1.0 tackle for a loss (2 yds), and 1.0 sack (2 yds)...recorded 1.0 sack and tackle for a loss (2 yds) vs. University of Mary (9/02/21)...credited with a season high two tackles at Bemidji St (09/11/21)...named to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team. 

2020: Season canceled due to COVID-19.

2019: Saw action in seven games as a backup defensive lineman...credited with seven tackles including one sack for 3 yards...had season best three tackles at the University of Mary (10/26/19)...recorded two solo tackles with one sack vs. Northern State (10/19/19)...also credited with one solo tackle at Winona State (9/7/19) and at Augustana (9/21/19).

2018: Sat out as redshirt

High School: Graduate of Harlan High School in Iowa...was a three-year starter in football and also competed in wrestling and track and field for the Cyclones...earned Iowa Class 3A First Team All-State honors from the Iowa Newspaper Association during senior season after recording 35 tackles, helping Harlan to a 10-2 record and Class 3A semi-finals…other post-season honors included First Team All-District, All-Southwest Iowa and Omaha World Herald All-Area Team…excels in the classroom with Academic All-State honors and Hawkeye-10 All-Academic selection.

Personal: Son of Ryan and Jamie Brouse...born April 28, 2000...majoring in chemistry/biology.
