Tierel Tompkins is in his first year (2026) as a coaching assistant with Wildcat football and will be working with tight ends.
Tompkins just completed a standout career with the Wildcats serving as a starter for 3 1/2 seasons on the offensive line at right or left tackle. He started 36 of 40 games in a Wildcat uniform and earned All-NSIC Second Team honors as a sophomore in 2023 on an offensive line that allowed at NSIC-low six sacks. Tompkins anchored a Wildcat offensive line his senior season in 2025 that paved the way for NSIC-leading rusher Dawson Forgy and the NSIC's third-best rushing offense.
A native of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Tompkins earned his bachelor's degree from Wayne State majoring in economics.
