Zach Morel is in his first season at Wayne State serving as running backs coach.
Morel comes to WSC after spending the past two seasons as wide receivers coach at MidAmerica Nazarene in Kansas where both seasons he helped the team to 9-2 records and a NAIA playoff berth in 2024.
Morel attended Waldorf College in Iowa where he was a receiver and punter, earning North Star Athletic Association Honorable Mention while also selected to the 2021 NAIA Senior All-Star Game. A native of Oceanside, California, Morel began his collegiate career at Palomar Community College.
