Zion Williams is in his first season (2023) on the Wildcat sidelines as Football Coaching Assistant and will work with cornerbacks.
Williams started his collegiate football journey at Wayne State College where the Omaha North graduate was a member of the Wildcat team from 2017-18.
He then played one season (2019) at Iowa Western Community College where Williams earned ICCAC All-Region honors with 31 tackles, one interception and 13 pass break ups helping the Reivers to a 9-3 record and victory over #8 Hinds in the Graphic Edge Bowl.
Williams closed his collegiate career playing three seasons at Division I Troy. He played in all 14 games in his final season (2022) recording eight tackles (five solo) on a team that finished 12-2 and 7-1 in the Sun Belt Conference. Williams had 18 tackles with three pass break ups and two interceptions - one for a touchdown. He was named Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week with an interception return for a TD in the season opener vs. Southern. In his first season (2020) at Troy Williams accounted for 21 tackles and one pass break up while appearing in all 11 games.
Williams earned his bachelor's degree from Troy in 2022 majoring in social science.
