2017:  Appeared in a seven games on special teams and defensive back before suffering injury...credited with 12 tackles (nine solo) with one interception for 46 yards...made three solo tackles at Northern State (8/31/17)...had two tackles and interception return for 46 yards in 16-13 win at Augustana (9/30/17)...repeat selection to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2016:  Medical redshirt...named to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2015:  Played in all 11 games with two starts at defensive back...credited with 18 total tackles (14 solo) with one breakup...made three solo tackles vs. Sioux Falls (10/3/15) and Concordia-St. Paul (10/24/15)...had three tackles at Mary (9/26/15)...credited two tackles and breakup vs. Upper Iowa (11/7/15).

2014:  Sat out season as a redshirt.

High School: Tirrel is a two year starter in football and five year starter in wrestling at West Central High School…helped West Central win Class 11A state title during senior season and was named All State defensive back and selected to the Argus Leader Elite 45 Team…rushed for 1,079 yards and 19 touchdowns with 40 tackles on defense along with four interceptions including one for a touchdown…also averaged 26 yards per punt return with one touchdown…in wrestling, is a three-time state qualifier and captain while being named most valuable wrestler in 2012 and most improved wrestler in 2011.
