2019: Played in four games with one start at linebacker...credited with seven solo tackles on the season and one tackle for loss...recorded five solo tackles with one tackle for loss at Winona State (9/7/19)...made two solo tackles at Minnesota State (11/2/19)...repeat selection to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team and serves on Student Athlete Advisory Committee. 

2018: Played in eight games with five starts at linebacker, recording 17 tackles with one fumble recovery and one pass breakup...had season-high four tackles at Minot State (10/20/18)...made three solo tackles with fumble recovery vs. MSU Moorhead (10/13/18)...also had three solo tackles vs. Minnesota State (10/27/18)...named to NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2017:  Saw action in 10 games as a reserve linebacker and member of special teams...had 17 total tackles with 10 solo stops...also had one breakup and 1/2 sack for three yards...credited with three tackles in three games - at Augustana (9/30/17), vs. Concordia-St. Paul (10/28/17) and vs. Upper Iowa (11/11/17)...had two solo tackles with one breakup at #1 Minnesota State (11/4/17).

2016:  Redshirted.

High School: Graduate of Southern University Laboratory School...helped team to 1A-Select state championship during senior season...averaged 7.5 tackles per game, had 358 total tackles, 100 total tackles for loss and 5 interceptions in high school career...also excelled in the classroom earning Academic All-State during senior season.

Personal: Son of Denny and Dennette Welch...born March 12, 1998...majoring in sport management.
