High School:  Graduate of West Branch High School in Iowa...two year starter and three year letter winner in football and four year starter in track and field...earned Class 1A All-State Second Team honors at offensive line as a senior helping team to 7-3 record and second round of Iowa State Playoffs...on defense credited with 24.5 tackles, three sacks and five tackles for loss...was an All-District selection as a junior and senior and voted Most Valuable Lineman both seasons...Academic All-State selection in football and Academic All-Conference four years.
