2017: Appeared in nine games with one start at tight end...also played on special teams and was credited with one solo tackle at Minnesota State (11/4/17).

2016:  Saw action in eight games with two starts at tight end as well as special teams player...had four catches for 28 yards and one touchdown...made two catches for 21 yards with a four-yard TD catch at Concordia-St. Paul (10/1/16)...also had one catch for yards at Bemidji State (9/17/16) and one catch for three yards vs. St. Cloud State (9/24/16)...on special team, made two tackles vs. St. Cloud State.

2015:  Played in all 11 games on special teams and backup linebacker...credited with 11 total tackles including three solo stops...made season-high three tackles at Mary (9/26/15)...had solo tackles vs. Sioux Falls (10/3/15), at Winona State (10/31/15) and vs. Upper Iowa (11/7/15).

2014:  Appeared in eight games as a special teams player...had three tackles with two solo stops vs. Bemidji State (9/6/14).

2013: Sat out season as a redshirt.

High School: Saunders was a four year starter at Laurel-Concord/Coleridge and received numerous individual honors. His senior year he was named First Team All-District, First Team All-Area and Class C-2 All-State honorable mention while earning First Team All-District recognition as a junior.  Saunders was ranked as one of the top 30 players by Huskerland Prep as a senior.  During junior season, Saunders had 20 catches for 356 yards and also averaged 22 yards on kickoff returns while helping Bears reach the Class C-2 playoffs.  He also excels in track and field, qualifying in the 400 meter dash and 4 x 100 meter relay last spring as a junior.   

Personal: Son of Curt and Renee Saunders...born on 5-14-1994...majoring in sport management with a minor in criminal justice at WSC.
