Biography

2014:  Appeared in one game (at St. Cloud State) before suffering season-ending shoulder injury...credited with one solo tackle and one tackle for loss at St. Cloud State (9/13/14).

2013:  Played in eight games as a backup defensive lineman for the Wildcats, credited with seven tackles...had two solo tackles at Minnesota Crookston (9-21-13)...also credited with two tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss vs. Minnesota Duluth (9-28-13) and at Minnesota State (11-2-13).

2012: Appeared in three games as a backup lineback for Wayne State during the season...had five tackles (one solo, four assisted) on the season with all of them coming in the season opener at MSU Moorhead on 9-1-2012.

2011: Did not appear in any games for WSC during the season.

2010: Redshirted

High School: Graduate of North Platte High School where Wright was a two year starter in football leading team in tackles during junior and senior seasons...averaged just over 10 tackles per game his last two seasons and had 192 career tackles...received All-Greater Nebraska Athletic Conference honors as a junior and senior to go with Academic All-State accolades.

Personal: Parents are Dennis and Jan Wright...born June 1, 1991...major is human sport at WSC...Jake is a cousin of current Wildcat offensive lineman Brad Wright of Ewing.
