High School:  Graduate of Des Moines Hoover High School in Iowa...competed in football, basketball and track and field for the Huskies...hauled in 30 catches for 465 yards and credited with 30.5 tackles on defense during senior season to earn All-District Second Team honors at wide receiver...was a two-year starter and named All-District honorable mention as a junior...in basketball averaged 8.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per game with nearly one block per contest as a senior...named All-Iowa Alliance Conference honorable mention as a junior after posting league-high 22 blocked shots...in track and field was a Class 3A state qualifier during senior season in 200 and 400-meter dashes and placed eighth in 400-meter dash (49.96) as a junior...earned 12 All-Academic Awards throughout high school career.
