Biography

2017:  Tied for fourth on the team in tackles with 41 after starting all 11 games at defensive tackle...had 20 solo and 21 assisted tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss (16 yds) and 2.5 sacks for 12 yards with one quarterback hurry...credited with career-high 10 tackles vs. University of Mary (9/9/17)...made four solo tackles with one sack for seven yards at Winona State (10/21/17)...had six tackles and one tackle for loss vs. Sioux Falls (10/12/17)...named to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2016:  Played in all 11 games with 10 starts on the defensive line, making 23 tackles with 12 solo stops...had four tackles for loss (24 yds), two sacks for 19 yards and one quarterback hurry...made season-high six tackles vs. Minnesota State (11/5/16)...made sacks in first two games of season - four tackles with one sack for six yards at MSU Moorhead (9/1/16) and two tackles with one sack for 13 yards vs. Minot State (9/10/16).

2015:  Started final eight games of the season at defensive end, recording 37 total tackles to rank sixth on the team...ranked third on the team in tackles for loss (31 yds) and had two sacks (14 yds) with one blocked kick...made seven tackles with one breakup at Mary (9/26/15) and had seven tackles with one tackle for loss (2 yds) vs. Southwest Minnesota State (10/10/15)...credited with five tackles, two tackles for loss (12 yds) and one sack (5 yds) at Augustana (10/17/15).

2012: Redshirted during freshman season at WSC.

High School: Graduate of Hartington Cedar Catholic High School...started four years in track, three years in football and two years in basketball and accumulated a collection of individual awards...Weinandt was on the Academic Honor Roll seven of eight semesters, 2011 state track qualifier, 2009 Second Team All-District football, 2010 First Team All-District and team MVP, 2011 honorable mention Lincoln Journal Star, Omaha World Herald and Associated Press and 2012 honorable mention Lincoln Journal Star, Omaha World Herald and Associated Press...was on four straight state football playoff teams (state runner up in 2009), and was on two state basketball qualifying teams...career stats at Hartington CC are: 46 receptions for 712 yards, 849 all purpose yards, 71 solo tackles, 100 assisted tackles and 18 sacks. He also rushed four times in 2011 for 66 yards (16.5 yards per carry).
