Biography

2019: Played in all 11 games with seven starts at defensive end...ranked fifth on the team in total tackles with 47 while recording a team high two fumble recoveries...was second in sacks (6.5-41), tackles for loss (11.5-59) and quarterback hurries (3)...recorded season best eight tackles with 2.5 sack (21 yds.) at University of Mary (10/26/19)...made six tackles with one sack, one fumble recovery and two quarterback hurries vs. Upper Iowa (11/9/19)...had five tackles with one sack and one forced fumble vs. Minnesota Crookston (10/5/19)...credited with four solo tackles, two tackles for loss and a fumble recovery at Minnesota Duluth (10/12/19).

2018:  Saw action in eight games as a reserve defensive end and had 14 total tackles with 4.0 tackles for loss (21 yds) and one sack...made season-high five tackles (four solo) with two tackles for loss (12 yds) at Southwest Minnesota State (9/8/18)...credited with four solo tackles and one tackle for loss (8 yds) vs. Augustana (9/15/18).

2017: Did not play in any games.

2016:  Saw action in four games and did not record any statistics...played at Concordia-St. Paul (10/1/16), vs. Augustana (10/8/16), vs. Winona State (10/22/16) and vs. Minnesota State (11/5/16).

2015: Redshirted.

High School:  Graduate of Omaha Burke High School...earned All-Metro Conference Second Team and Class A All-State honorable mention honors as a tight end/defensive end during senior season...credited with seven sacks and 30 tackles while averaging 16.7 yards per reception at tight end with two touchdowns.

Personal:  Son of Mike and Michele Blankenfeld...born December 2, 1996...majoring in health and physical education K-12 at Wayne State.
