Biography

2017: Appeared in 10 games with six starts at left guard on the Wildcat offensive line...credited with one solo tackle vs. Minnesota Duluth (9/23/17).

2016:  Played in nine games with one start on the Wildcat defensive line, recording nine tackles...had two tackles for loss (4 yds)...made season-high four tackles (three solo) vs. Minnesota State (11/5/16)...had two tackles with one tackle for loss at Concordia-St. Paul (10/1/16).

2015:  Made switch from offensive line to defensive line and played in final seven games of the season recording 10 tackles...credited with four tackles vs. Sioux Falls (10/3/15) and had three tackles at Augustana (10/17/15)...made two solo tackles vs. Upper Iowa (11/7/15).

2014:  Redshirted.

High School: Carstens is a three year starter at Wahoo High School, earning Fremont Tribune and Wahoo Newspaper All-Area honors as offensive lineman while recording 46 tackles on defense during senior season…helped Wahoo to a 7-3 record and Class C-1 playoff appearance...received Class C-1 honorable mention All-State honors.

Personal: Son of Dave Carstens and Beckey Carstens...born April 30, 1996..majoring in industrial technology/construction management at WSC.
