2017: Played in 10 games with three starts at outside linebacker...had 37 total tackles (24 solo) with two breakups, one forced fumble and 3.5 tackles for loss...made season high nine tackles vs. University of Mary (9/9/17)...credited with seven tackles (5 solo) at Augustana (9/30/17)...had five tackles with two breakups at Minnesota Crookston (9/14/17).

2016:  Ranked sixth on the Wildcat defense with 36 tackles making six starts and playing in all 11 games at linebacker...had four tackles for loss (22 yds) and 0.5 sacks for two yards...made season-high six tackles with one tackle for loss vs. Winona State (10/22/16)...had five tackles, all solo, vs. Augustana (10/8/16)...made five tackles with one tackle for loss (13 yds) vs. Minnesota State (11/5/16).

2015:  Appeared in all 11 games on special teams with one start at outside linebacker, recording 20 tackles including 11 solo...had tackles in nine of 11 games played...credited with season-high four tackles at Augustana (10/17/15)...had three solo tackles vs. Northern State (9/19/15) and made three tackles at Winona State (10/31/15).

2014:  Declared a medical redshirt after getting hurt in first game of the season vs. Bemidji State on 9/6/14.

2013:  Sat out season as a redshirt.

Before Wayne State: Was a walk-on at the University of Nebraska for one season.

High School: Graduate of Oakland-Craig where he was a consensus Class C-2 All-State pick by the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star as a senior...was a three time All-District team selection and a two time All-State honorable mention selection...recorded 88 tackles (55 solo, 33 assisted) during senior season...also played fullback and rushed for 717 yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging more than eight yards per carry...led his team to a 10-1 record during senior season as Oakland-Craig advanced to the quarterfinals at state...was also a state qualifier in wrestling and track and field.

Personal: Son of Kenneth and Mary Hoffman, born on 1-18-1994...majoring in industrial technology and construction management with a minor in business administration at Wayne State College.
