2011: Red-shirted during freshman season at Wayne State.

High School: Graduate of Elmwood-Murdock High School...started two years in football and basketball and three years in track and field...was a two-time All-Conference and All-District selection in football also earning Academic All-State honors in 2009 and 2010...in basketball, was a First Team All-Conference selection as a senior while also earning Academic All-State honors three seasons...holds eight school passing records with 3,000 career passing yards and 33 career touchdown passes.

Personal: Son of Al and Deb Zobel...born on January 19, 1993...majoring in business administration/accounting.
