2022:  Was a repeat All-NSIC South Division First Team selection on special teams...also named D2CCA All Super Region 4 First Team and Don Hansen All-America Football Team honorable mention...made 13-15 field goals and 40-41 PAT kicks to rank second in kicker scoring, third in field goals made and third in PAT kicks made...averaged 39.1 yards on 50 punts with just two touchbacks, 18 fair catches and 16 punts inside the 20...averaged 60.8 yards on 66 kickoffs with 32 touchbacks...was 4-4 on field goals including new school record 52-yard field goal at #24 Augustana (10/15)...named NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week October 10th after making both field goals and all five PAT kicks in 41-33 win over Minnesota State (10/8) while averaging 40.5 yards on two punts...was 2-2 making field goals of 43 and 37 yards in 13-6 win over Northern State (9/10)...repeat selection to NSIC Fall All-Academic Team and voted CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team.

2021: Appeared in 11 games as the starting kicker and punter...named All-NSIC South Division First Team...ranked third in the NSIC in kicking points (73), tied for fourth with 10 field goals made and was the NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week September 27th after making the game-winning field goal in a 31-28 win at #11 Minnesota Duluth (09/25/21)...finished the season 10-13 on field goals with a long of 42 yards and converted 44-45 extra points and had 53 total punts for 2,030 yards for a 38.3 average per punt...converted both field goals and 6-6 on extra points vs. Minot State (09/18/21)...was 1-1 with his season long 42 yard field goal and 5-5 on extra points at Southwest Minnesota State (10/23/21) also had five punts for 166 yards with two being inside the 20...named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence. 

2020: Season canceled due to COVID-19.

2019: Sat out as a redshirt.

Before Wayne State:  Played two seasons at Iowa Western Community College.

High School:  Graduate of Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson High School...was a three-year starter in football and soccer...named All-Conference kicker and served as captain...in soccer, named captain and most valuable player along with All-City honors.

Personal:  Son of Joe and Carrie Powders...born July 30, 1997...majoring in exercise science.
