High School:  Graduate of Elkhorn High School...four-year starter and letter winner in cross country and track and field...was a four-year Class B state qualifier in cross country, placing fourth as a senior with time of 16:35.64...helped team to sixth place finish in Class B as a senior...in track and field was a four-time Class B state qualifier in the 1,600-meter run earning eighth place medals as a junior (4:26.99) and senior (4:25.76)...also ran legs during senior season on fourth-place 4 x 800-meter relay and sixth-place 4 x 400-meter relay teams.
