Biography

2018: Played in 11 games with one start at defensive back, recording 27 tackles with one interception and one forced fumble...credited with season-high seven tackles at Upper Iowa (11/3/18)...had four tackles at St. Cloud State (10/6/18)...had 24-yard interception return and two tackles in 34-0 win at Minot State (10/20/18)...made three solo tackles with forced fumble vs. Bemidji State (9/29/18).

2017: Did not play.

2016:  Appeared in all 11 games with 10 starts at cornerback, ranking fourth on the team in tackles with 45...had four interceptions and four pass breakups with one forced fumble and one interception...made season-high nine tackles with one breakup at Upper Iowa (10/29/16)...had two interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one breakup and four tackles at Concordia-St. Paul (10/1/16)...made seven tackles with one interception at Sioux Falls (11/12/16).

2015:  Started 10 of 11 games at cornerback, recording 34 total tackles (26 solo)...led the team in pass breakups (12) and interceptions (3-52 yds) and tied for fourth in the NSIC with 15 passes defended...had five solo tackles with one interception (31 yds) and two breakups at Mary (9/26/15)...also had five tackles vs. Northern State (9/19/15)...credited with two solo tackles, three breakups and one forced fumble and fumble recover at Winona State (10/31/15)...made three tackles with one interception (21 yds) at Minnesota State.

2014:  Redshirted.

High School: Conway-Smith is a two year starter at wide receiver/cornerback for Omaha Westside, helping the team to an 11-2 record in 2013 while reaching the Class A state title game before falling to Omaha North 23-21…had 70 catches during senior season for 1,007 yards and nine TD’s…broke or tied eight school records for receiving, receiving yards and touchdowns…on defense, recorded 46 tackles from cornerback position with four interceptions…earned Second Team All-Metro Conference and First Team All-District honors to go along with honorable mention Class A All-State/Super State honors. McLaughlin said Conway-Smith “was at the top of our board for cornerbacks.”
