2016-17: Started 25 games at forward and was named Co-MVP after averaging 13.8 points and a team high 6.3 rebounds per game...shot 52.6 percent from the field (122-232) and 73.5 percent (100-136) at the free throw line...ranked fourth in the NSIC in field goal percentage and third in steals per game (2.1)...scored double figures in 18 games including the last nine games in a row and 11 of her last 12...scored season-high 23 points making 9 of 10 shots vs. Upper Iowa (2/17/17)...had 22 points, going 10 of 11 from the foul line, vs. MSU Moorhead (1/14/17)...had 21 points and nine rebounds on 8 of 11 shooting in NSIC Tournament first round win vs. Bemidji State (2/22/17)...named to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.
2015-16:Â Averaged 7.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while starting 28 of 29 contests at forward...tied for team lead with four double-doubles, shooting 47.8 percent from the field (85-178) and 50.6 percent (39-77) at the charity stripe...ranked second on the team in steals with 55 and tied for team lead in rebounding average...scored season-high 18 points at MSU Moorhead (2/5/16) making season-best 8 of 12 at the free throw line...recorded 10 points and season-high 13 rebounds at Rockhurst (11/18/15)...other double-doubles included 10 points and 12 rebounds vs. Concordia-St. Paul (12/4/15), 14 points and 10 rebounds at Minnesota State (1/8/16) and 14 points and 10 rebounds at Upper Iowa (1/22/16).
Before Wayne State:Â Played two seasons at Kirkwood Community College in Iowa...earned First Team All-Region XI and Second Team NJCAA All-American honors after averaging 7.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.32 steals per game helping team to 31-6 record and fifth place finish at National Junior College Tournament in 2014-15 season...ranked eighth nationally in field goal percentage at 55 percent...also excels in the classroom, earning NJCAA Region XI Academic All-Region honors both seasons.
High School:Â Graduate of Belvidere High School in Illinois...was a four year starter in basketball and soccer...during senior season, helped Belvidere to a 22-8 record averaging 12.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.6 steals per game.
Personal:Â Daughter of Chris and Eileen Martensen...born April 2, 1994...majoring in speech communications at Wayne State College.
