Gage Pohlmeier is in his second year (2023-24) as a graduate assistant coach with Wildcat women's basketball.
Pohlmeier comes to Wayne State after serving as the head student manager and male practice player with the Nebraska Women's Basketball Team for four seasons including the 2022 team that advanced to the NCAA Division I National Tournament. He assisted the Huskers in daily game day and practice preparation, dissect and organize game and practice film for coaches, tracked statistics and opponents substitutions during games and served as a liaison for visiting teams.
Pohlmeier earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska in journalism, majoring in sports media and communications to go with a minor in African-American studies. He is pursuing a master's degree at Wayne State College in organizational management/sport and recreation management.
