Biography
2012: Started three games and appeared in 17 for the 'Cats during junior season...recorded five shots with three on goal with a shots on goal percentage of .600...notched a season high three goals with three on goal on 10-13-12 vs. Minot State...received NSIC Fall All-Academic honors for a second straight season.
2011: Appeared in 15 games during sophomore season with the Wildcats...attempted six shots with three on goal...had two shots vs. Augustana (9-25-11) and at Minnesota Duluth (10-15-11)...selected to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.
2010: Appeared in 13 games for the Wildcats...had five shots on the season with four shots on goal...recorded one assist on the season, at Iowa Wesleyan on 9-11-10.
High School: Volkmer is a graduate of Lincoln Pius X High School...was a four year starter and letter winner earning Class B All-State honors as a senior from the Lincoln Journal Star...was a three time Honorable Mention All-State selection and also earned Academic All-State recognition...was selected to play in the 2010 Shrine Bowl Game...helped Lincoln Pius to a seventh place ranking in Class B as a senior.
Personal: Parents are Ted and Mary Volkmer...born on June 25, 1992...majoring in political science at WSC with a minor in journalism/public administration.
