2016: Named Second Team All-NSIC after averaging 2.96 kills, 4.47 digs and 0.44 service aces per set...led the team in digs and service aces, ranking second in the NSIC in aces and sixth in digs per set...had 15 double-doubles on the year...set NSIC Tournament record with seven service aces to go with 32 digs and 11 kills in Wayne State's NSIC Tournament come back win at #2 Minnesota Duluth (11/16/16)...had season high 20 kills with 16 digs on Senior Day in 3-1 home win over Northern State (11/12/16)...named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week on October 31st after averaging 5.89 digs per set in road wins at Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State...finished WSC career as all time leader in service aces (173) and fourth in career digs (1,894)...received NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic With Distinction Award and was repeat selection to NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.
2015:Â Started all 36 matches for the Wildcats...averaging 2.44 kills and 4.54 digs per set...led the NSIC in service aces per set (0.42) and tied for eighth in digs per set while recording 15 double-doubles...had career-high 16 kills with 24 digs at Winona State (11/14/15)...posted season-high 28 digs with three service aces and 12 kills in NCAA Central Region win over Central Missouri (12/3/15)...had season-high five service aces vs. Minnesota Crookston (10/10/15)...credited with career-high four blocks vs. Concordia-St. Paul (11/6/15)...enters senior season ranked 10th on career digs list with 1,380 and is sixth in career service aces with 122...repeat selection to NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.
2014:Â Appeared in all 122 sets and 34 matches for the Wildcats, averaging team-high 4.53 digs per set to go with 1.84 kills...had four double-doubles during the season and also led WSC in service aces with 40...ranked seventh in the NSIC in digs per set and tied for sixth in service aces per set (0.33)...credited with 14 kills and 38 digs vs. Augustana College (10/28/14) and had 14 kills with 21 digs at Minnesota Duluth (10/31/14)...had 38 digs in NCAA Central Region first round win vs. Central Missouri (11/20/14)...recorded season-high five service aces at St. Cloud State (11/1/14)...named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week on November 3rd after averaging NSIC-best 6.33 digs in three matches the previous week to go with two double-doubles...named to the NCAA Division II Central Region All-Tournament Team...selected to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.
2013:Â Saw action in all 32 matches with 28 starts while playing in 113 of 114 sets during freshman season as a defensive specialist...averaged 2.30 digs per set to rank fourth on the team...also had 31 kills and 29 service aces to rank fourth on the team...had 11 matches with 10 or more digs, highlighted by season-best 21 digs at Winona State (10-19-13)...also had 19 digs vs. Peru State (10-16-13) and 18 digs vs. Lindenwood (9-13-13)...recorded two matches with seven kills - at Augustana (10-22-13) and vs. #4 Minnesota Duluth (10-25-13)...recorded seven service aces vs. #21 Wingate (N.C.) on 9-7-13 and four service aces vs. William Jewell (Mo.) on 9-14-13.
High School: Graduate of Kearney Catholic High School...helped Kearney Catholic to the 2012 Class C-1 State Championship with an undefeated 36-0 season recording 283 kills...was finalist for Omaha World Herald Female Athlete of the Year...had team high nine kills for the Red Team in a 3-1 win at the Nebraska Coaches Association All-Star Volleyball Game on 7/23/13....was also part of teams that were Class C-1 State Runner-up in both 2010 and 2011...was a three year starter at Kearney Catholic and as a junior was named Kearney Hub Volleyball and Athlete of the Year along with being named a finalist for the Omaha World Herald Athlete of the Year...in basketball as a senior, earned Class C-1 First Team All-State honors, averaging 12.3 points per game while helping Kearney Catholic to a 26-3 record and state runner-up finish...during junior season, Mestl earned All Lou Platte Conference honors averaging 13 points a game...in track and field as a senior, placed in second in four events (100, long jump, triple jump and 400 relay) while leading Kearney Catholic to Class C state title...helped the Stars to a Class C runner-up finish in track and field in 2012 as a junior, winning the 100 meter dash, placing second in the long jump while also running a leg on the state championship 400 meter relay team.
