Kasen Handal was announced on February 18th as the new defensive backs coach for Wayne State football.
Handal spent last season (2025) as defensive backs coach at Waldorf University in Iowa where he was also a standout football player for the Warriors.
During his senior season in 2024, Handal ranked fourth on the team with 55 tackles in nine games with one interception and five pass breakups. He was named North Star Athletic Association All-Confernce honorable mention as a junior in 2023 thanks to 64 tackles, two interceptions and three pass breakups as the #2 tackler on the team.
Handal is a graduate of Waldorf University and resides in Wayne.
