            Kim DePew is in her seventh season (2025-26) as the assistant coach for the Wildcat beach volleyball team that debuted in the 2020 season.  DePew is also in her 18th season on the Wildcat volleyball coaching staff and coaches setters and serves as camp coordinator for the indoor season while also handling recruiting and scouting duties.
            DePew helped coach the Wildcat beach team to a fourth straight double-digit win season, going 14-6 while winning a pool play match for the first time ever at the AVCA Small College Beach Championships to advance to the Silver Bracket and finish 11th in the national tournament.  The 'Cats were 12-8 record during the 2023 beach campaign and had a 14-6 record while winning the Bronze Division title at the AVCA Small College Beach Championships during the 2022 season. 
            While at Wayne State, DePew has helped the Wildcats reach 10 NCAA Division II Tournaments, two NSIC regular season championships (2022, 2023), two NCAA Central Region titles (2015, 2023), one trip to the NCAA Final Four in 2015 and a trip to the NCAA Elite Eight in 2023.
            Formerly Kim Edwards, DePew is a graduate of Sioux City Heelan High School in Iowa and played collegiately at Emporia State in Kansas (2002-05) where she finished her career as the all-time leader in set assists (5,754) while earning First Team All-MIAA honors as a senior in 2005 with a league-high 1,489 assists that season. 
            DePew, inducted into the Iowa Girls' High School Athletic Union Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2009, resides in Wayne with husband Eric and son Brett (10) and five-year-old daughter Avery Jae.
