Linda Anderson is in her 10th full year (2025-26) with the Wayne State College Athletic Department as Associate Athletic Director for Internal Affairs after joining the Wildcat program on March 1, 2016. Along with serving as the school's compliance officer and senior women's administrator, Anderson also assists the Student Athletic Advisory Committee and has game management responsibilities.
       Anderson came to Wayne State with over 25 years of collegiate experience. Prior to arriving in Wayne, she served as the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Senior Women's Administrator at Truman State University from 2007-February, 2016.
       Prior to that, Anderson was Director of Athletics for three years at Maryville University in St. Louis. While at Maryville, she added men's and women's track and field, served on committees with the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and was President of the SLIAC.
       Anderson also worked for nearly 20 years (1985-2004) as Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Women's Administrator at NCAA Division III St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota. While at St. Mary's, she also held coaching duties as the school's volleyball and softball coach.
       A native of Wayne, Anderson began her career in collegiate athletics at Bemidji State where she served as Interim Director of Women's Athletics, head softball coach, and interim volleyball coach from 1983-1985 where she obtained a Master's degree in physical education, health, coaching and administration.
       Anderson earned her bachelor's degree at Chadron State College in K-12 Physical Education and Health while playing three sports - softball (three years), volleyball (two years) and basketball (one year).
